CLL are experienced in contaminated site clean up projects and have staff trained and qualified to undertake work with hazardous materials.
We are also able to draw on the specialist expertise of our subsidiary company Contract Environmental Ltd (www.cenv.co.nz) to undertake contaminated site investigations, and to assist with the development of cost effective and practical clean up solutions. Contract Environmental are environmental consultants and are also able to assist with the supervision of clean up work and obtaining consents.
The most recent large contaminated site clean up project that CLL have been involved with was the dismantling of the Auckland International Airport quarantine incinerator, which was contaminated with dioxins and heavy metals.
Examples of other projects we have undertaken include the bulk excavation and disposal of contaminated spoil from the gasworks site in the Beaumont Quarter, the clean up of a printing factory in Birkenhead, and the project management of the site investigation and consents process for the redevelopment of a contaminated industrial site in Onehunga. We also regularly manage small site investigations and clean ups for residential sites contaminated with horticultural chemicals.
CLL has also undertaken many asbestos remediation projects and have staff trained in handling and removing asbestos.
